안녕하십니까.

경희대학교 중앙박물관과 한의학역사박물관은 옥스퍼드대학(University of Oxford)의 마크 해리슨(Mark Harrison) 교수를 모시고 워크숍과 강연을 개최합니다.

해리슨 교수는 다수의 근대 의학사 관련 저작을 출간한 저명 학자로 현재 옥스퍼드대학 의사학과(Wellcome Unit for the History of Medicine) 과장으로 재직하고 있습니다. 그의 주요 저작으로는 Public Health in British India: Anglo-Indian Preventive Medicine 1859-1914, Disease and the Modern World: 1500 to the Present Day, The Medical War: British Military Medicine in the First World War 등이 있습니다.

해리슨 교수는 2004년에 Medicine and Victory: British Military Medicine in the Second World War로 The Society for Army Historical Research에서 수여하는 Templer Medal을 수상한 바 있으며, 금년에는 Contagion: How Commerce Has Spread Disease를 출간하였습니다.

이번 워크숍과 강연은 역사학의 새로운 흐름으로 떠오르는 의학사의 최근 경향과 내용을 알 수 있는 좋은 기회라고 생각합니다. 관심 있는 여러분의 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.
